Another game for 60min: Cards Against Humanity

The popular board game Cards Against Humanity has acquired a free online version called Cards Against Originality.

Cards Against Humanity is a simple game for parties. It requires at least three people and two decks of special cards: on black written various questions and suggestions with missing fragments, and on whites – phrase-answers.

At the beginning of each round, players take on ten white cards, and one of them is selected as a “guru” (or judge) and removes only one black card. The Guru reads out the contents of the black card out loud and invites the other participants to choose from their whites one of the most ridiculous versions of the answer to it.

By collecting white cards, the judge reads out all the combinations obtained and chooses the best one to his taste. The winner receives at his disposal a black card, which gives an opportunity in any other round to offer two options at once. The role of the guru goes to the next player in a circle.

The success of Cards Against Humanity lies precisely in ridiculous combinations of phrases, whose number is virtually unlimited – both decks are allowed to be supplemented with their own variants.

Cards Against Humanity in 2011 was successfully funded by Kickstarter as a “game for horrible people”, because it provokes the participants to the vulgar humor. Since then, it has become a real hit among desktop entertainment, but the digital version only got four years later.

Unfortunately, because of the lack of donations and big hosting fees, project was cancelled. We hope we can get another similar one online even if we need to sponsor it free spins that we find here.

Cards Against Originality completely removes the need for real maps, but it was not made by the creators of Cards Against Humanity. The original project is distributed under the free license of Creative Commons, therefore any non-commercial variations of Cards Against Humanity can be released by anyone. Since its release, the board game is available on its official website in the form of a PDF-document with a standard set of cards that can be printed and cut.

The digital version of Cards Against Humanity was a web application developed for mobile devices. To start the game, the user just needed to go to the site and create a game session, and then throw a referral link to it to his friends. In case of playing in the distance, the creator of Cards Against Originality recommended all participants to call by Skype.
